To wrap things up we headed to the Y for a few more shots. If you know Brandi and Jerry you know they are pretty serious about working out. I love it when my clients are game for incorporating little pieces of who they are into their photos.

When Matt and Courtney asked me to shoot their wedding I was extremely honored. I have been friends with them and watched them grow closer to God and to each other over the past several years. They are truly two of the kindest, most servant-hearted people I know. It was so great to spend this day with Matt, Courtney, and their wonderful families.

The Wedding Celebration of Jamie & Michael

When I showed up at the house the gals were all watching “My Best Friend’s Wedding.” It was a beautiful day inside and outside.

The rings. A perfect blend of classic and modern. Michael’s actually has carbon fiber in it. Very cool.

Pink was the color of the day.

The first look is always one of my favorite parts of the day. Michael said, “Awww. You look so beautiful.”

The wedding party was great. We had a blast together. They really supported Jamie and Michael throughout the day.

The wedding and reception was held at the 20th Century Center. Darrin Hackney was an incredible second shooter. He captured this cool shot of the Murdock Theatre.

This is another one of Darrin’s during the ceremony.

Jamie’s cake was fabulous. Pink polka dots, of course!

Here’s Michael’s cake. Mario gets the princess! Both cakes beautifully designed by Pamela at World of Wedding Cakes. Amazing.

Jamie+Michael Engagement

Jamie and Michael met me at the park for their engagement session. I had met with Jamie a couple of times before, but never Michael. As you can see, cool is the word.

And Jamie had more than enough style to compliment Michael’s cool.

They were such good sports! You would never know from their images that it was quite chilly and drizzly on this February day. But, we found some shelter and some amazing images!

The weather couldn’t dampen their spirits or their smiles. They definitely love to be together. Very cool.

Overall the session was a blast! I’m totally looking forward to Jamie and Michael’s wedding at the 20th Century Club. Cool venue. Cool couple. Cool love.

Matt & Courtney's Engagement Session

Matt and Courtney met me downtown and we began a very fun session. We found several great locations, but honestly we could have taken these anywhere the two of them were together. Their love for each other is evident. They truly enjoy being together. They have kind hearts and warm spirits. We laughed a lot and had a wonderful time.

Thanks for a great day Matt and Courtney! I can’t wait for your wedding!

The Wedding Celebration of Tim & Kayla

Our day started early. We arrived and immediately began shooting beautiful details around the church. The girls arrived first and began getting ready and getting their hair done. They were very organized and very excited. Kayla’s dad stopped in and brought some bagels. A few hours later the guys started arrive. Tim’s mom made him pancakes at home – which I thought was a very cool thing to do on your son’s wedding day. The rest of the guys showed up, some right away, some just barely. I heard rumors of late night cards and video game playing.

Tim and Kayla’s “first look” was so beautiful. The joy and the love they share was so easy to see. After they spent a little time together we jumped in cars and drove downtown for some very cool photos. Everyone had a great time. This was a very fun, very large group!

We came back, shot the formals, and it was time for the ceremony. Everything was beautiful. It was especially cool that Kayla’s dad sang and Tim’s did officiated the marriage. I was really touched by the close relationships between Tim, Kayla, and their parents. It was awesome!

After they said “I do” we jumped in the rockin’ party bus and headed to the reception. On the way we stopped at a baseball diamond and took a few more pictures under the lights.

The reception was a blast; filled with dancing, singing, eating, family, and friendship. All in all, it was an amazing day where God was glorified and love overflowed! I was blessed to be a small part of it all.

I recently had the privilege of taking this portrait of Delbert and Barbara. They are kind, sweet, and wonderful. Good people.
It was so much fun to capture this glimpse of their love for each other. I have a feeling their family will treasure this Christmas gift for many years to come. I know it will be one of my favorites.
